Rylee was a bit crabby after not having taken any good naps all day and teething, but she cooperated for the most part. She is getting older so fast!! I hate it.

Last week I stayed home a couple of days to take care of her because she had Bronchiolitis. It was making it hard for her to breathe, and we had to use a nebulizer every 4 hours for the first 2 days, then 3 times a day for the next 3 days. When we went back to the Pediatrician on Friday, her doctor said she didn't need it anymore Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-79869648442627440112012-02-16T12:02:00.002-05:002012-02-16T12:04:42.031-05:00Updates on Rylee, diaper rash, and returning to work!Age: 4 months, or 18 weeks
Corrected Age: 6 weeks, 47 days
A couple of weeks ago (I know I've been slacking) I posted about the horrible diaper rash Rylee kept getting. For the life of me, I could NOT figure out what the culprit was. Well, after about 2 weeks of trial and error and through the process of elimination, I discovered it was indeed the detergent. I'm still not sure if it was Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-74569968091291438982012-01-02T00:08:00.001-05:002012-01-02T00:10:23.549-05:00Battling Diaper Rash in Cloth DiapersRylee got a diaper rash about 3 weeks ago, and it started to get better, but then got progressively worse. :( When I took her to the Pediatrician last week, she said it wasn't yeast (which I thought it was because it was SO PERSISTENT) and wasn't fungal. She suggested we try Lotrimin (for foot fungus!). She said the rash looked like it was from Rylee pooping SO.MUCH. I love staring at Rylee when she sleeps. Her perfectly smooth baby skin is so pretty and her big pouty lips are adorable.
Today was the day she was SUPPOSED to be born. I'm not happy that she came 3 months early, but I am glad I get to spend this extra time with her before she starts talking and telling me not to kiss her in public because it's Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-21857432444347538812011-12-20T10:00:00.003-05:002011-12-20T10:00:01.235-05:00Getting so big!Rylee has kept me quite busy between her colic and reflux. We have had doctor's appointments seemingly at least twice a week AND work has already convinced me to start working at least 2 hours a day to get things organized there because they miss me so much. I'm a little sad about this because I want to spend as much time with Rylee as I can before going back to work full time! Gestational Age: 38 weeks
It's been awhile since I've updated!
We got to bring our precious baby home on Tuesday November 22nd. We didn't expect her to come home until at least December, so it was quite a shock to me when I walked into the NICU on the 21st for my normal 11am visit, when the doctor asked if I was ready to take her home. Since she was still having a few Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-15159077141964539662011-11-01T22:51:00.000-04:002011-11-01T22:51:10.373-04:00Little piggyAge: 23 days

Rylee has been doing SOOO well! She is up to 3 pounds and an ounce or two now!!!
Today they started testing her without the nasal cannula to see how she does without it. She still needs it during holding time, but for long spurts during the day today she didn't have one at all!
I love seeing her little face without tubes all over it!

Rylee's IV was taken out on Tuesday the 25th. Her little arm looks so much better without all that tape and tubes coming out of it! It's so much easier for me to hold her to because I don't have to worry about hurting her little arm.
She is up to 22cc's of breast milk today, and tonight will be getting 22 calories added into her milk so she can Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-12044905427894246512011-10-24T18:12:00.000-04:002011-10-24T18:12:28.874-04:00Fattening up!Age: 15 days

Rylee continues to do amazingly! She is up to 16cc's of breast milk already! The doctor said she should (hopefully) be off of the IV fluids completely by tomorrow. YAAAAAAAY! Once she is off of the IV, she will be solely on breast milk. Zac and I went to the hospital this morning to see Rylee. When we got there, her nurse never came up to us like they normally do which was a little annoying. She wasn't very attentive (and so far, my least favorite nurse she has had). We changed her little diaper and took her temperature, then waited while the nurse fed her through her feeding tube. Zac and I found out we were expecting right after we returned from our honeymoon. Oops! :) Our first little baby, Rylee Quinn was due January 1st, 2012.

It's been over a month now. He was supposed to mail the CD to us Wednesday of last week so unless it got "lost" in the mail, he didn't send it. UGHHH.
Our vows were something we both agreed didn't need to be traditional. Unfortunately, the day OF our wedding was a completely different story.
If it hadn't rained, we would have gotten married on the patio outside at The Clubs at Quantico. The Wisteria would have been beautifully draped over the pergolas lining both sides of the patio, with the chairs set up in the Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-43040936802784526002011-05-09T14:25:00.000-04:002011-05-09T14:25:04.571-04:00I'm baaaaaaaaaaaack!I didn't even tell you I was leaving. But I did.
And I'm glad to be back. We left for our honeymoon to Australia on the 27th, arrived on the 29th (their time) and just got back late Saturday night.
Our trip there was hell. Coming back was great.
We stayed here- the Nepean Country Club. It looks MUCH nicer in the photos.

My opinion on the matter however, is slightly less chipper. SO many things went wrong it's ridiculous.
Here are just a few things that went wrong (I will elaborate more on the day later).
Most of the flowers died, and my bouquet froze in the hotel fridge. My MIL was in charge of doing all of the flowers, and had to scatter Ericahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09278569707798071416noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1231210245973223023.post-42691065321209963642011-04-13T11:36:00.002-04:002011-04-13T11:40:21.621-04:00Three More Days!I can't wait to share more info about the wedding with everyone! But I'll be darned if renting one isn't ridiculously expensive!!! Holy crap. The cheapest one I found was around $500 for 3 hours but you still have to pay for the attendant to be there and for a certain amount of prints. $500-$1000+ was not in our budget AT ALL. Ok done.
I had my 3rd dress fitting tonight at 6:30pm at the store where I bought my dress. These are supposed to be fun right? Sometimes they show minor mental breakdowns while brides are dress shopping. But I feel like the brides and mom's are on their semi-best behavior when they are being filmed.
Here's a list of awkwardness/frustrations and thoughts that I experienced while dress shopping. Have fun.
